GVS Hospitality LLC was formed on November 7, 2022, and is registered in both the state of Delaware and California. The company was established with the primary objective of “acquiring Black Bear Diner franchises.”

The managing member, Grace Van Slee, brings extensive experience with the Black Bear Diner brand to the company. GVS Hospitality acquired its first location in Fremont, California, on April 13, 2023, followed by a second location in Chico, California, on September 16, 2024. In May 2025 it added The Roseville and Auburn location to its portfolio.

Looking ahead, the company plans to acquire one additional location as part of this initial offering, with intentions to pursue subsequent locations under a new offering framework. This current offering will include up to a 20% equity stake in all three locations.
